Primitive Room
We have many different fabric and design options for hand stitched prim towels, runners, valances and candle mats. If you would like a combination that you don't see here, don't hesitate to email a request.
Most designs can be done on any item with an applique in a coordinating color. The white squares are tea-stained muslin and fused and stitched on to the towel with coordinating additional applique and stitching added after. Fabric color/pattern choices are on the Shipping page.
All material is pre-washed so it won't shrink if washed in cold water. Tea-staining may fade when washed. Since each item is handmade, the tea-staining and stitching will vary with each one I do!
Item PT1 18" x 28" muslin is fused and hand- stitched on to the towel with a coordinating applique fused and stitched on as well. Then a phrase is hand-stitched on the muslin for the finishing touch. They can be used in the traditional sense on tabletops, or as wall hangings, or draped like extra large towels on ladders or towel racks. Tea-stained muslin is fused and hand-sewn on the runners at both ends first, then the three solid color homespun appliques are hand-sewn on each end. The fabric is pre-washed to avoid shrinking. These runners can be machine washed on cold, but you may lose a little of the tea-staining effect on the muslin. | |
